  1. Excellent for those who do a lot of driving First, let me say I'm not a trucker. I do drive all over the state, though, as part of my job. Generally, I've been using Google Maps to navigate to places unknown, and before that I had a dedicated GPS from TomTom's competitor. The TomTom Trucker 600, however, blows those away.First of all, I have to praise the big, beautiful screen. This is an easy-to-see GPS that doesn't waste an inch of screen space. The touch screen is fairly responsive (more responsive than my previous GPS)...

  2. It might be tough to justify buying a single function item like a GPS for this price when anyone with a smartphone has a map app installed complete with GPS that is accurate. But there are some advantages to having one. The biggest is that you have your hands free and it will not saturate your phone battery.   3. I struggled to give a rating on the Trucker 600. It gets the basics right and will generally please anyone in the industry, but many aspects could be refined.SCREENCompared to my old GPS, the screen on the 600 is beautiful. It is large and relatively high resolution. The only critique I have is that it can be too bright at night, even on the lowest setting. The "black" is more of a washed out grey.
