Good for what i bought it for I live in VA, where radar detectors are illegal. I bought this as a sacrificial unit, so I wouldn't lose my $500 detector for any length of time. If a cop realizes I have one, I can hand him this unit. No harm, no foul. If he gives me the option to destroy the detector in lieu of a ticket, you better believe the $20 detector will be gone versus $40-120 for the ticket.With that being said, anyone looking to buy this unit to actually use it, I would look for something else.
